the joy of the resurrection

The Saint James Weekend (this year, at home) is an opportunity for us to come together as one church, from across our three congregations for fellowship, teaching and fun. Our theme for the weekend is ‘The Joy of the Resurrection’ and we are privileged to have Matt Lloyd with us as our guest speaker.

Matt is the Associate Minister at Christ Church Bromley and he’s going to be teaching us from God’s word in our main sessions. Having grown up in Northwood, Matt is no stranger to this part of the world and we’re looking forward to having him with us.

We’ve got a great programme lined up, with two plenary sessions and a seminar programme on Saturday – and there’ll be plenty for our young people to enjoy as well!

On Sunday, we’ll be ‘all in’ as Saint James Together at 10:00am in Gerrards Cross – followed by lunch afterwards (strictly optional!) in people’s homes. For those who’d like to, we’ll gather again for something a little bit different in the evening.

We are relying on those who feel able to support this financially to fund it. Any monies left over will be put towards the ongoing mission of Saint James. For information on how to donate, please see below.

Donations

Your donation towards the cost of the weekend would be greatly appreciated, whether or not you plan to come. Approximately £25 covers the cost of an adult including food and drink; £15 the cost of a child who will eat the food provided. Wine, beer and soft drinks will be provided.
 
As the majority of the cost of the event this year is about our entertainment, rather than furthering our charitable purposes, we will not be collecting GiftAid on the donations. Hence, we will not be taking donations via Stewardship or CAF vouchers. Please don’t let that stop you coming.
