Bookings have closed, but if you’d still like to come please use the link above to add your name to the waiting list.

What to expect?

This is an unmissable event for everyone in and around Saint James. It’s an opportunity to re-connect post lockdown, to re-commit to our vision and to look forward to the year ahead as we focus on a particular theme and look to our heavenly Father God for all that we need.

Good food & good company are guaranteed! The evenings are for the whole church family: newcomers and old-timers… and anywhere in between!

The two evenings are exactly the same so you only need to come to one (but perhaps you might consider helping at one or the other).

Are you able to help?

We need volunteers each evening to ensure the events run smoothly.  There are opportunities to serve before, during and after the dinner.

If you’re serving on the evening you will get to hear Matt’s talk and there’s always a great buzz behind the scenes, so you won’t miss out on fellowship.  We’ll make time to share some food together.

If you’re able to join the team, simply select the ‘helper’ ticket when you sign up.

Who is this for?

The Vision Dinners are for anyone and everyone! Whether you’re new to Saint James, or you’ve been around for years, we’d love you to come.  At each evening, there’ll be people from across our church family, so you’re guaranteed a familiar face.

Why should I come?

We’ll be getting together as a church family to re-commit to our vision and to focus on a particular theme for the year ahead.  We’ll be hearing from Matt (our Rector) and the team as well as enjoying precious time together.  Expect good food and good company!

Why are there two evenings?

The evenings will be exactly the same, so you only need to come to one.  We’re doing it twice to fit everyone in and to make it easier for everyone to come (see below re: childcare).

Should I come with my Growth Group?

You don’t have to, but you might like to.  Have a chat with them and see if you can come up with a plan.

Should I invite a friend?

If you know someone who you think might welcome the chance to meet a few people from Saint James and hear more about our vision, yes, please feel free to invite them.

What about childcare for the evening?

By having two evenings we’re hoping that everyone will be able to make it. Perhaps you could offer to babysit for a friend; organise a childcare swap in your Growth Group; come to one evening and your spouse to the other; or organise a big sleepover? It’s worth the effort – we promise!

Isn’t there a chance I won’t know anyone?

That’s highly unlikely. At each evening, there’ll be people from each of our congregations present – and a team of hosts to ensure a warm welcome.

What will I wear?

That’s up to you, it’s a relaxed evening with church family!

Do you need help?

Yes please! We need around 25 volunteers each evening to ensure the events run smoothly. Everyone on the team will be able to hear the vision presentation and there’s always a great buzz behind the scenes, so you won’t miss out on fellowship. We’ll get some pizzas delivered and make time to share dinner together.

What if cash is a bit tight?

We’d hate for you to miss out, please select the concession ticket when you sign-up.
