Advent Family Reading

Advent is a time when we look back and celebrate Jesus’ first coming to earth, 2000 years ago in Bethlehem

But advent is also the time when we look forward in eager expectation to his second coming, when Jesus will finally restore his kingdom and people. And a way we can learn to wait well is by spending 5 or 10 mins each day reflecting on this with the help of some daily devotionals. You can start this at any age.  Here are 3 recommendations:

For Pre-schoolers

Beginning with God at Christmas helps parents and toddlers explore the Christmas story together. It has questions, activities, colouring and even stickers. What more could you want! A really simple yet engaging way to read the bible with your pre-schooler.

For Kids

A Jesus Christmas - to be read as a family, maybe over meal times or before bed exploring God’s plan in sending Jesus.

For Adults & Teens

The Dawn of Redeeming Grace goes through Matthew's gospel looking at the hope Jesus brings as God's promised King.

Each of these would be great to use as a family or individually. All you need to do is pick the book up and you’re good to go.

Each book is available in our bookstall in The Church Centre, or you can order through our online bookstall.
