Martin Williams“I am deeply humbled to have been entrusted with the role of Rector at the two St James. I am aware that I follow in the footsteps of a succession of wonderful Rectors. I am so very grateful to the church wardens and leadership team for their incredible support and hard work over these past months; they have served this Church family with a prayerful diligence which has been inspirational. I am also profoundly grateful to the extraordinary staff team who have worked so hard during the interregnum and have served joyfully and with great commitment. They are each a great blessing to us as a Church family. Can I also thank each and every member of the two St James for the way in which you have prayed for the selection panel and the candidates during the selection process.

During these past months, we have, together, been seeking God’s will for His church here in Gerrards Cross & Fulmer for the next chapter; I am privileged to have been called to my particular role in that next chapter and yet it is so exciting to know that each of us will be called to play our God-given part. I have no doubt that our amazing God has so much to reveal to us of his great purposes for this local church and for our nation. Can I assure you that Sophie and I will serve you with all our hearts and we are so excited to see how our Lord Jesus  will continue to build His church in and through us all in the years ahead.”
