Alpha

"Alpha is special. It gave me an opportunity to really look at who I am and who Jesus is."

If you are enquiring about, uncertain or are just getting going in the Christian faith we would be pleased to invite you to join the next Alpha course.

Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life. It consists of a series of talks looking at topics such as 'Who is Jesus?' and 'Why and how should I pray?' and provides the option of a weekend away. Every meeting of the ten week course begins with supper and each talk is followed by an opportunity for discussion and questions in small groups.

We run Alpha courses on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm and Thursday mornings at 9.45am. A well-run crèche is available on Thursday mornings.

The Alpha courses run three times a year, starting in mid-September, mid-January and early May. For more details on the next course please contact the Church Office on 01753 883311.

After Alpha

There is the opportunity after Alpha, to continue exploring and growing in the Christian life. This happens in housegroups that are formed around specific materials to help and encourage those who are new to the Christian faith.

For more information or to register , please e-mail alpha@saintjames.org.uk or phone the church office (01753-883311).

If you would like further information about Alpha, or if you cannot get to Gerrards Cross and would like to find a course closer to your home, please visit The Official Alpha Homepage.
